Our Backyard Town

Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to Our Backyard Town!

This is somebody's backyard?  Yep!

Our Backyard Town, at night (click to enlarge)In 1938 Mike Barnett's grandparents, L.E. Puckett and Clara purchased a farm in West Tennessee where the town now Mike & Cathy Barnettresides and moved their sawmill here. After their death, Mike and his wife Cathy remodeled his grandparents house and the buildings left on the remaining 4 acres to create a 1900's town.

The old smokehouse is now a barbershop and tobacco store.  The old brooding house is now a gas station, a 50's diner, and an old grocery store. There's also a 1920's drug store where you can get real ice cream! There's a small church suitable for wedding's, a saloon, 2 gas stations, a hardware store, antique cars, and a shoe The Tennessee Magazine, May 2006 (click to enlarge)store.  And of course, there is one of the favored parts, the log cabin which is rented out regularly as a bed and breakfast.  The Tennessee Crossroads Story

An Early 1900's Town

Step back in time with us for a moment to an early 1900's town...There's the old grocery store attached to the cafe...  the barber shop and Pop's Drug Store are right across the street...the saloon is around one corner and the church is around the other...could all this really be in someone's backyard?   Pop's Drug Store (click to enlarge)
